The Toasted Hostess?

She’s got the polish and poise of a fresh red manicure, but showed up to her party with two different earrings on. Somehow, it works.

She knows the perfect volume to set the background music at, and the only old-fashioned ideas she can get behind fit in a rocks glass. Or three.

She doesn’t have time to scroll Instagram, and spends her commute dreaming up the next statement piece for her neighbor’s daughter’s upcoming wedding. And she’ll let you borrow it next! She means it too!

Her cursive isn’t anything to write home about, but she can bring a big mood to the smaller details of your table setting. Her gripe of the moment: Who said an escort card had to be folded ivory paper?! Nothing bores her more.

She’s less of a single woman, and more of an idea that event design doesn’t have to be all smoke and mirrors.

…But it could involve smoke and mirrors!

Hi! I’m Taylor

…Not that one. I’m the creative spirit behind The Toasted Hostess, but there are also two amazing men who make up our magic: My husband Justin, and dad, Leo. 

Together, we are your one stop shop for custom installations, day of signage, and whatever design piece you can imagine for your wedding day. Our inventory is constantly evolving to meet the wildest dreams of our couples, and we are so proud to serve up our creations in Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding areas.

I have a formal background in education, a less formal but very passionate love for all things cooking and craft cocktails–homemade pasta is one of my favorite things to make!--and being a mom is definitely my biggest and most favorite thing to do outside of being The Toasted Hostess.

  • Most TTH couples book with us about 9-12 months out from their wedding date! For peak months (April, June, & September), reach out as soon as possible!

  • The average TTH couple spends $1500 on their Day of needs. This typically includes their custom seating chart or escort display, a welcome sign, 1 smaller sign rentals, and 1-2 day of details.

    For day-of details, each proposal is custom-quoted based on factors such as the size of the project, materials, and transport details. We start with your inspiration photos and propose multiple design concepts to select from, along with pricing for each piece. This allows us to provide accurate quoting that is specific to your event and also allows you to create your own package.

  • Yes! Once we have iron out the details of your day, you will receive a contract and direction to pay a 50% deposit to book your date!

  • Absolutely, we do! During the design process, about 4-6 weeks out from your date, we work through the nitty gritty details and provide as many proofs as necessary to ensure we are creating concept worth toasting to!
